WHO IS ON NEXT? UOMO, the competition produced by Pitti Immagine Uomo, Altaroma and L’Uomo Vogue that seeks out new, Italian or Italy-based, talents in men’s fashions, has announced the winners of this year’s Uomo edition to be
Alberto Premi won the Accessories category
The 22 year old Italian designer has created a collection of experimental footwear noted for his choice of materials and color combinations. His creations are outstanding for the research on soles and hides, and the ability to blend the most traditional footwear looks with new details that have a strong contemporary
Tom Lipop won the Prêt-à-Porter category
The highly talented designer from the U.K. moved to Italy to study Italian craft traditions. Judges chose Lipop’s collection as they deemed it to be “.. a complete and original collection, a mature project informed by careful studies of materials and shapes.”
The collection is coherent and is characterized by a complete identity, high creative content and sophisticated sartorial details.

Napoleone – were Beppe Angiolini (Camera Nazionale Buyer), Chiara Bottoni (MFF), Tiziana
Cardini (La Rinascente), Antonio Cristaudo (Pitti Immagine), Simonetta Gianfelici (Altaroma),
Lorenzo Guazzini (Fashion Valley), Robert Hirsh (Silver Deer), Sara Maino (Vogue.it), Claudio
Marenzi (Herno), Stefano Martinetto (Tomorrow Ltd), Alessandra Rossi (yoox.com), Robert
Tateossian (Tateossian London), and Dirk Van Versendaal (Stern).
The judges were totally satisfied with the high levels of the entries, and especially with the research content in the finalists’
collections. In addition to the winners, the finalists were:

Each of the winners will receive a prize of 3.500 Euros and the opportunity to be part of a special
event at the next winter edition of Pitti Uomo (Pitti Uomo 87, 13-16 January 2015); they will also be
mentioned on the pages of L’Uomo Vogue and the Condé Nast websites.
In addition, YOOX.COM: the world’s leading multi-brand lifestyle e-store selling fashions, design
and art will giver the winners of WION 2014 special visibility and support the growth of their brands.
They will be able to reach an international audience through the yoox.com global display window
that can be accessed in more than 100 countries around the world.
There is more: TOMORROW LONDON LIMITED – one of the most important distribution platforms
for young fashion talents – will offer the winners the possibility of presenting their collections during
the selling campaign at the TLL showroom in Paris.
And, starting this year, the winner of prêt-à-porter will have the opportunity of producing a capsule
collection with FASHION VALLEY, the group of firms in the Prato District fashion chain: from yarn
and textile mills to makers of finished garments.
