Global Entrepreneurship Week : a week specifically focused on celebrating and empowering innovators who launch startups that not only bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare but create much needed jobs for todays workforce.

Held for one week during November, Global Enterprise Week arranges meetings, events, activities and guidance lectures to assist all entrepreneurs and self-starters organise their businesses whether local or global.

The GEW hosts large-scale competitions and events like Startup Open to award promising and hardworking businesses and also arranges intimate networking gatherings to connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors—introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.
Speakers offering include Richard Branson, Michael Dell and Muhammad Yunus who share their expertise through activities like EO24, run by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and practical training courses like FastTrac. New startups are guided through the process at bootcamps like Startup Weekend while world leaders, local officials, universities, researchers and policymakers engage in discussions around the world to examine the underlying policies necessary to promote entrepreneurial growth.

Tonight’s event “General Assembly and Startup Weekend” in New York takes place at the famous Hudson Hotel’s new lounge Half&Half at 7pm until 11pm by the groups “Startup Weekend” – a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over 1800 past events in 120 countries around the world in 2014. RSVP HERE
